- Actually ultra-thin glasses that are LCD-color based have been
- out for sometime now. I read it in the Trends section of Omni about 2
- years ago, so this is not really new technology. Although I am sure
- improvements have been made since the first prototype a few years back.
- This invention _MAY_ change VR, but what about cost? Cost is going to be
- relatively high until mass production is intiated, and even then it will
- most probably become obsolete, like everything else :)
