  16. o This Wednesday, October 14, Valentin Dragoi will give a presentation on
  17.   the 1992 paper "Neuronal Networks With Spontaneous, Correlated Bursting
  18.   Activity: Theory and Simulations," by Kowalski, Albert, Rhoades, and
  19.   Gross.  The paper proposes a model of spontaneously active biological
  20.   neural networks, each neuron being an excitable dynamical unit of the
  21.   Hodgkin-Huxley type.  Networks of this type exhibit rich dynamics,
  22.   including synchronized chaotic activity.  The simulation results will
  23.   be discussed.
