  13. The Megatek ESPRIX -- X Windows Accelerator
  14.  
  15. Philip Staiger of Megatek Corp will show the ESPRIX graphics
  16. accelerator for Sun Microsystems workstations.  It accelerates X
  17. Windows, and draws over 600,000 vectors per second.  It has an 8 bit
  18. color frame buffer, and resolution up to 1600 x 1024 pixels.  Mr.
  19. Staiger will discuss various architectural issues, including the use of
  20. shared memory, the use of the floating point accelerator, the frame
  21. buffer, and more.  Hands-on interaction will be available.
