  14.  * Singular Value Decomposition
  15.  * Root Finding
  16.  * Numerical Optimization
  17.  * etc...

  19. We have Mathematica, but the c-language interface is cumbersome (and
  20. not too time-efficient!).  Anyone have any recommendations?
