- .2mV/div is a pretty sensitive scale, so I assume that the next one
- is .1mv/div, and is the most sensitive available (or nearly so).
- If all these assumptions are true, then the problem is not with the
- focus, but high frequency noise, either being picked up externally or
- generated in the Y-amps themselves. Test this by winding your timebase
- up to a very fast speed, the fuzz should resolve itself as a waveform.

- This substantiates my theory, since the cap would filter high frequencies
- out of the signal. It also lets your scope off the hook, since the noise
- must be coming from an external source. Make sure your leads are properly
- screened ans grounded, or buy a better stereo.
