- I am sick of pc cad programs. Some like padsdemo are too complicated
- for my uses and programs like pc-trace are too simple and are
- terrible. I decided I want to make my pc boards the way I used to.
- Drawing them on graph paper using rub ons. But I can do that on a
- computer also. I just need a good drawing program that I can define
- chips and pads as macros. I also need a program that uses coordinates
- and allows you to scale. And of course it has to be able to make
- good printouts on a laser or 24-pin printer. I dont need a cad
- program to autoroute. For my designs the human brain does a better
- job. Is there a program out there that will help me? Thanks
- in advance for any help. I am also experimenting with a new way to
- etch pc boards. It includes printing your designs on a special piece
- of paper coated with a thin layer of copper. You then peel off the copper.
- It still has some adhesive left and you attach it to your board and
- etch. It is still in its experimental stage. But by results are getting
- better.
