  13. The Greatest Spectacle in RC Racing
  14.  
  15. For the fifth year in a row, October 14-18th 1992 will bring 280
  16. racers and 1,000's of spectators to gather at the Olympic Velodrome
  17. which is located at the corner of Victoria and Avalon in the City of
  18. Carson.
  19.  
  20. The focus of this group of International Racers will be the annual
  21. running of the R/C ThunderDrome.  1/10th scale versions of NASCAR
  22. Stock Cars will speed around the 333 meter track at speeds in excess
  23. of 75mph.

  25. Celebrities, such as Joe Benson from KLOS, Dan Gurney's All American
  26. Racing Team's #98 Toyota GTP car, the Goodyear Blimp, and a Fun packed
  27. midway will make this unique race a fun family attraction.

  29. THURSDAY, OCTOBER 15, 1992
  30. Specially prepared race cars will be provided for the media if they
  31. would like to try their hand at racing.

  33. FRIDAY, OCTOBER 16, 1992
  34. The first day of Qualifying starts at 11:00am and continues until
  35. night fall.  The Goodyear Blimp will fly over and welcome the
  36. racers.

  38. SATURDAY, OCTOBER 17, 1992 
  39. Qualifying continues, and the Peterson Publishing Staff will have 
  40. a special race featuring editors of Motor Trend, Hot Rod, Circle 
  41. Track, Car Craft, and more race for the Gold!

  43. SUNDAY, OCTOBER 18, 1992
  44. Opening ceremonies, 10:00.  The main events start with the Goodyear
  45. Blimp overhead with attending press for aerial photo opportunity
  46. for the attending press.
