  23. DON'T slide hammer it! Not unless you want to buy another steering column.

  25. The correct way to do this is as follows:

  27. Remove the horn button, then  pull the steering wheel with a puller.
  28. Remove the turn signal switch & "upper" section of the steering column. (this
  29. may require a special puller from your friendly neighborhood Mopar dealer, or 
  30. you may be able to rig your own puller.)
  31. You should then see the ignition cylinder. Push the button above the cylinder
  32. and the whole cylinder will slide out.

  34. I'm doing this from memory, so I may have missed a couple steps. BTW, I had
  35. to do this job on my '73 Coronet about 15 years ago when someone broke into
  36. our house and stole all the spare car keys. Got to swap out several cars'
  37. lock sets :-(

  40. gone. Email me if you run into trouble, and I'll look up the procedure.
