- Subject: PLYMOUTH RELIANT POWER STEERING PUMP
- Lines: 11
-
- The power steering pump in my 88 Plymouth Reliant needs to be replaced
- because of a leak through the shaft seal. It looks like there is no room
- to get the pump out after it is removed from the mount. There are two tubes
- running across above the pump. I think they are fuel lines. I don't see
- any room under the pump either. The manual I have says that the pump should be
- pulled out from the top but that manual refers to carbureted engine. My
- car has a 2.2 fuel injected engine. I hate to touch those fuel lines. I wonder
- if anyone with experience removing power steering pump from FI K-car can tell
- me how to get this job done. Thank you for your help.
