- Just another $.02...
- I had a 1980 dodge colt that ran Amsoil synthetic since the break-in
- period was over. We changed the oil once a year or every 25,000
- miles. The filter was changed at 6 month intervals. The engine ran
- flawlessly for 165,000 miles until the car was inadvertantly destroyed
- by a marauding van, thus ending our "synthetic oil durability test."
- Even up to the very end, the engine still did not burn much oil,
- even though it was driven mercilessly. (cool! try to squawk 'em in 2nd
- gear again!!)
- Oil analyses proved that the oil could survive lengthy drain
- intervals.
- I remain a firm believer in synthetics.
