- Subject: Broken pipe on turbo car
- Lines: 13
-
- I have an '84 Dodge Colt Turbo which has a broken pipe that carries
- exhaust air to the intake manifold for cooling. I will be fixing the
- problem soon (the part should actually be coming in today), but I was
- just wondering if anyone knew whether or not the turbocharger might be
- affected by the hole in the pipe. I realize that damage might be
- incurred by lack of cooling, but the turbocharger also uses the exhaust
- air, so I was worried that it might be affected also.
-
- If the turbo might be affected, I was wondering if anyone might be able
- to suggest a way of testing/checking the turbo for damage without taking
- apart the entire system.
