- The reason this doesn't work well is that Otto cycle engines are
- expansion engines, not heat engines. The heat from combustion adds an
- extra fillip, but your bread and butter is the change of pressure as the
- fuel/air mixture is burned.

- look at one of the treatises that tries to treat firearms as heat
