  15. Greetings fellow netters.

  17. While driving down the highway this afternoon, I glanced at my dashboard
  18. and was surprised to see my gas and coolant guages had quit (they were in
  19. the position they normally are after turning off the ignition).

  21. While I was wondering what could have happened, they suddenly came back
  22. on line (like they do when I turn the ignition on).  This happened several
  23. more times before I arrived at my destination.  A couple of times I tapped
  24. on the plastic cover and they came back on, but I don't know if the tapping
  25. actually caused they to come back on.

  27. The car is a 1988 Nissan Sentra two door sedan.  Never had any electrical
  28. problems before.  Any advice/suggestions as to how I can find the
  29. short/loose connection/whatever before I go tearing the dash apart?
