- Well here I go again, putting my foot in mouth anyway.
- When you go to the junk yard looking for springs, look in the door
- frame for the GVWR rating of the rig your thinking about getting the
- spings off from. As the gvwr goes up the springs will be stiffer.
- Check the one on your truck first so you have something to compare
- with. I've go the 87 F250 4x4 with the 460 and 5 speed, its not to
- bad on or off road except for the expansion joints in the concrete roads.
- I don't know the GVWR rating on mine but I believe it has the "towing"
- package.
- Also something to think about is the tire/shock combination on your
- rig. You might try a narrower tire if your running something a little
- over sized and/or a little softer shock.
- Also, remember if you run empty alot, usually you only need about
- 45 - 50 psi in the tires and not the 70 psi you use when carring a
- camper or something. Makes a big difference in the ride.
