  13. What tests can I perform on my throttle pos. sensor to determine if it is
  14. functioning properly?  I have a GM 2.8L engine (1988 vintage) that when I
  15. release the gas and engage the clutch the engine increases RPM by as much
  16. as 700+.  At full stop, it will idle around 1500-1700 RPM and then drop down
  17. to 850 or so after about 5 seconds (this occurs with clutch in and in 
  18. neutral or even with the clutch out and in neutral).
