- Itamar--
- I have no problem switching back and forth between the NB Lingua
- symbol set and the ASCII symbol set. Perhaps it is your HGC+ (I have,
- I think, an ATI; I know I don't have an HGC). All I have to do when I
- switch from one to the other is reactivate an appropriate printer, since
- there can be, it seems, only one printer activated at any moment.
- Which leads me to two suggestions for your list: one BADLY MISSING
- FEATURE and one improvement:
- BADLY MISSING FEATURE: support for Courier, or some other standard
- fixed-width font, in Lingua. (I know Michael Dick will agree with this
- need|) There seems to be some half-baked support: my colleague has
- managed to print using Courier and Hebrew together, as long as they were
- on different lines. But insert a Hebrew word into the Courier line and
- try to print the file in exactly the same way, and the Hebrew characters
- come out gibberish.
- IMPROVEMENT: The ability to establish a different default printer
- for each "Symbol set." I use a TI MicroLaser, with a wide variety of
- fonts, for entirely-euro printing, but must activate its HP-emulation
- mode for Lingua editing and printing, since the TI printer mode is not
- supported by Lingua.
