- Adding a small bit to Mervyn's posting -- the problem is likely to
- be your laptop rather than simply NB4. On my Dell 320N, there is
- no problem with the screen (and I don't use ultravision or any
- of the other programs to alter screen display). Perhaps your laptop
- does make some alterations, either in the setup itself, or with an
- utility add-on? Regarding mono NB -- remember, as has already been
- noted here, one can load NB4 for mono or gray scale display by
- tacking on /m or /g to the nb command (these options are listed
- in the 'short' manual). After a year of tinkering with display
- modes in NB3, I find NB4 much easier for laptop adjustment.
