- I've just today received the NB 4.0 upgrade. Installation went okay,
- but my first test printout caused me to spend more time than I would
- have liked editing a faulty printer table. Subscript "H2O" printed out
- "H2W0", and there was an extra "W" after superscripts as well.
-
- It finally turned out that there were a couple of faulty lines in
- the attribute sections of the printer file (IBMPRO24.PRN); someone
- had forgotten to put an ASCII 0 character after ESC+U, so that
- the combination was not interpreted as a control code and the next
- alphabetic letter printed out as a literal W.
-
- I had once encountered a similar problem in a 3.0 printer file so I
- basically knew what to look for and fix. But it irritates me that
- after waiting this long for the upgrade I get carelessly edited
- printer files. I know what a tedious job it is to create them, but
- still...
-
- Sorry if this bug has been reported here already; if it has the
- article doesn't seem to be on my system any more. Just needed to
- let off some steam. Glad that 4.0 finally made it, though.
