  13. I've just today received the NB 4.0 upgrade.  Installation went okay,
  14. but my first test printout caused me to spend more time than I would
  15. have liked editing a faulty printer table.  Subscript "H2O" printed out 
  16. "H2W0", and there was an extra "W" after superscripts as well.

  18. It finally turned out that there were a couple of faulty lines in
  19. the attribute sections of the printer file (IBMPRO24.PRN); someone
  20. had forgotten to put an ASCII 0 character after ESC+U, so that 
  21. the combination was not interpreted as a control code and the next
  22. alphabetic letter printed out as a literal W.

  24. I had once encountered a similar problem in a 3.0 printer file so I
  25. basically knew what to look for and fix.  But it irritates me that
  26. after waiting this long for the upgrade I get carelessly edited
  27. printer files.  I know what a tedious job it is to create them, but
  28. still...

  30. Sorry if this bug has been reported here already; if it has the
  31. article doesn't seem to be on my system any more.  Just needed to
  32. let off some steam.  Glad that 4.0 finally made it, though.
