  11. I have something to offer and also a problem that needs a solution.
  12. First, I am well on the way to getting NB4 to work with a Deskjet
  13. printer.  As part of the installation procedure you have to let
  14. it convert the HP fonts to DJ format, which it does automatically,
  15. but takes FOREVER (about half an hour).
  16. It seems to work OK, but downloading is a little slow, and a couple
  17. of times the file seemed to get stuck in the printer, and wouldn't
  18. actually come out of the Deskjet for a minute or two.  But it DID
  19. print Hebrew and Greek nicely.  We have a 128K cartridge.
  20. On the other hand, for the printer in my office, which is not connected
  21. directly to my machine but instead is on the server, I have a problem
  22. which was addressed ages ago on this list, but I can no longer solve.
  23. Readers may recall that to get something to print on a network it
  24. is necessary to PRINTD, LPT1.  This is OK if you're using resident
  25. fonts, but if you want to use the pretty Hebrew/Greek etc. fonts
  26. it won't work.  Weirdly, the file will print, as soon as you exit
  27. NB.  It works perfectly, but puts all the files into some kind of
  28. queue that it stores until you turn the program off.  Any suggestions?
