  13. A message was posted on EDUTECH that listed a number of courses
  14. that are available through the International Society for Technology
  15. in Education.  The message suggested that it was possible to obtain
  16. a master's degree via distance education using these courses.  That
  17. is not correct.  ISTE does not offer a master's degree and these courses
  18. are not organized into a master's degree program.

  20. The corses are patterned after courses that  were used in the Master's
  21. degree program at the University of Oregon (a program that has
  22. now been closed due to budget cuts).  The corses carry credit through
  23. the Oregon State System of Higher Education Office of Independent
  24. Study.
