  23. Sextant is a Gopher client for Macintosh. This is the second public, beta
  24. release. Please send comments, suggestions, and bug reports to the author.

  28. Sextant now supports telnet item under System 7. Currently NCSA Telnet is
  29. used to open the connection. (Support for tn3270 is missing at this time.)

  31. Sextant nolonger ignores Gopher items it does not know how to use. Instead,
  32. these items are displayed in gray and are inactive. The user now has the
  33. opportunity to search for a tool to access these items.

  35. Sextant doesn't bother you about not having selected a printer.

  37. Sextant doesn't open the first item found in a search result. Most people
  38. found this too confusing.

  40. Sextant and UMN's Macintosh Gopher server coexist on the same Macintosh.

  46. to allow Sextant to talk with Gopher servers that don't correctly implement

  48. past.)

  54. The source code to Sextant will be made available early next week. To
  55. compile Sextant you will need THINK C and the THINK Class Library 1.1.2.
