- Even if you happen to disagree with Gary Warner's statements, that is hardly
- an excuse to broadcast slurs against him, his school, his religious beliefs,
- or the State of Alabama. His main point, i.e. restricting access to certain
- information, deserves the same consideration and respect as any other topic.
- Although I tend to be pretty liberal in my thinking, I don't believe that
- it's proper to assume that everyone is (or should be).

- Frankly, I wouldn't have thought such a controversy was possible or necessary
- on this list. However, I assume that most of us are professionals of one sort
- or the other (as opposed to teenage hackers posting naughty notes on a BBS),
- so that some degree of decorum can be restored shortly.
