- I didn't mind Carl's post about what universities were doing to
- limit freedom (his opinion) even though I wondered what it had to do
- with operating a CWIS. I didn't mind Gary Warner's post in response
- to Carl, because he did make some good points. But this flame from
- Rita Marie Rouvalis is offensive to me because it adds nothing to any
- discussion on CWIS and because I see no point in publically ridiculing
- someone by claiming "they don't know what they are babbling about."
- If Rita and Carl, et al want to debate this issue on and on, then it
- should be carried to e-mail. As for CWIS, unless there is something
- else constructive to be said (such as a defense of why a computing center
- might want to control its resouces, budget crunches and disk space problems
- and all), then I would see that appropriate for discussion. But the flames
- should end sometime before lunchtime today.
