- I'm looking for a _fast_ algorithm/subroutine to compute the
- eigenvalues/eigenvectors of a complex Hermitian 'almost Toeplitz' matrix,
- that is a matrix that is complex Hermitian Toeplitz everywhere except in
- the main diagonal, where all numbers are (real and) different. Adicionally,
- some of the sub/super-diagonals may be zeros.

- I don't need to compute all eigval/eigvec pairs, just those who are
- greater than a given (negative) number. I've found 'ch' EISPACK (*all* eigval/
- eigvec of a complex hermitian matrix), and there are other routines to compute
- just *some* eigval/eigvec of a complex general matrix, but I wonder if
- somebody knows of something more appropiate.
