- Bill, I heard Nick Katz (nmkatz@pucc.princeton.edu) give a lovely talk
- on this and other related sums. It seems that Euler "really knew what
- he was doing". The values of these sums are related to p-padic
- modular forms. This talk was quite a number of years ago (over 15),
- and I don't remember any more details.
