- Remember that if you wreck your car with the doors locked, the
- police/ambulance people will have to cut your car open with a
- hydraulic pair of scissors in order to get you out, if you are unable
- to unlock the doors yourself. This will take A LOT longer than just opening
- the door and get you out.
- You may be safe while your waiting for a green light, but you may also
- die while you wait for the hydraulic pair of scissors to arrive.

-
- And while we are at the sad subject of car accidents:
- I spoke to a guy a few years ago that had been in a car a whose driver fell
- asleep behind the wheel.
-
- When they went into the ditch at a rather low speed, the car tilted over 90
- degrees onto its left side. Unfortunately enough the drivers window was open
- and the drivers head happened, when the car tipped, to "fall out" out of
- the window and get stuck between the car and the ground.
-
- Everyone else got out of the car without a scratch, but the driver
- didn't survive.
-
- I always drive with closed windows (and unlocked doors) whenever I exceed
- city traffic speed.
