  13. Exactly what do the numbers and letters on a container of oil stand for?
  14. I have a new Mercury Tracer and am about to get my first oil change.
  15. The owner's manual says to use 5W-30 oil.  Should I mention this to
  16. the service station or will they know which type of oil to use?
  17. So far we have only found one store which sells 5W-30 so I am guessing
  18. that the station would simply use 10W-40 or some other more common type
  19. of oil.  If my guess is correct, will this be bad for the engine?
