- to do with efficiency though. The pressure in the system is the sum
- of the partial pressures of the various gases. If the pressure
- is significantly higher than the temperature indicates it should be,
- that almost always means non-condensables in the system (translate: air).

- Sure you can. Air separation is a trivial matter. Pump the mix into
- a suitable cylinder, chill the cylinder until all the freon is liquified
- and drain off the liquid, taking care to not draw anything from the vapor
- space. What is left in the vapor space are the noncondensables and
- a bit of freon. Freon can even be distilled to remove dissolved
- contaminants. No reason to ever throw any away.
