- Hi there
-
- My '85 MR2 has NEVER had such a problem. I have the 4AGE 1.6
- twincam 16valve 4, and I've now ticked 105,700 miles onto the
- odometer. This summer (other than regular maintenance) I rebuilt the
- throttle body for fun. No other problems from the engine. I don't
- think the valves have been adjusted in 30K miles, with no evident
- tick. Next spring its getting new valvecover gaskets and the valves
- adjusted b/c it seems appropriate.
