  20.     I was never a believer in synthetic oil, rather only in frequent 
  21. oil changes.  Recently, the friend who bought my '85 4_runner with 151K 
  22. on it had the valve covers removed (very clean, mechanic was amazed), 
  23. and also a compression check (also great).  
  24. I only changed the oil/filter every 3-4K (with mainly Castrol).
