- I was never a believer in synthetic oil, rather only in frequent
- oil changes. Recently, the friend who bought my '85 4_runner with 151K
- on it had the valve covers removed (very clean, mechanic was amazed),
- and also a compression check (also great).
- I only changed the oil/filter every 3-4K (with mainly Castrol).
