- My 350 smokes upon startup (pulling through the guides). I intend to
- install some type of seal:
-
- - anyone have experience with "plastic umbrella" vs. "teflon rings" - I
- have someone who can get me teflon seals that will interference fit over
- the guide (no machining), but I've also heard "the teflon jobs wipe off
- too much oil and your valves will go away" ??
-
- _ I intend to us an air compressor to keep the valves up while doing the
- replacement. Assuming piston is at TDC (low-comp 8.5:1 motor) should
- I expect problems??
