- wider tires may offer better traction on dry pavement; they may or
- may not reduce traction on wet pavement; and they will most definitely

- are sometimes stiffer springs for tow vehicles, which might be applicable
- in a car used to haul lots of stuff.

- with a car that old, it is likely that simply replacing the suspension
- bushings will tighten the car up quite a bit. shocks are a
- relatively inexpensive upgrade as well, and decent tires are a must.
- changes beyond that can get expensive, and unless carefully planned,
- can have the wrong results.
