- Hi Karen, Ret wanted me to tell you again how much she enjoyed
- reading your SHHH Convention reports. Even though she was at
- the convention, she couldn't do everything (NOBODY could). Your
- reports added greatly to her, and my, enjoyment.
-
- The other day while waiting for Ret at the library I was browsing
- their "withdrawn" books which were on sale for 25 each. There
- was one - "Personal Computers and the Disabled" by Peter McWilliams -
- which I had looked at before (and was not impressed). But I decided
- it was worth a quarter - just to keep it from falling into the wrong
- hands - so I bought it.
-
- Riffling through it, I confirmed my prior opinion. It's still not
- a very good book, however I did find one real gem. There is an
- interview with Henry Kisor which is a beauty. One excerpt:
-
- McW. - How have computers changed your life, if indeed they have?
-
- Kisor - For the first time in my life I am able to roll up as large
- a phone bill as my wife does.
-
- You might want to read the interview. If your library doesn't have
- it I can mail you my copy. Or maybe I'll try scanning the interview
- and see if I can get the OCR working :-)
