  11. Greetings:
  12.    running ultrix 4.2 on a uVAXII.....problem with the daemon version
  13. of sendmail vs the inetd.conf version......tried to put sendmail into
  14. inetd.conf to run as telnet and ftp do ( ie when called upon )....but
  15. internet mail stopped working.....?
  16. what's the problem here?

  18. the rc.local entry was sendmail -db -q1h -om &

  20. here internet mail worked

  24. the inetd.conf entry  was smtp stream  tcp nowait /usr/lib/sendmail -om
  25. and my crontab entry was 0,15,30,45 * * * * /usr/lib/sendmail -q

  27. here it didn't
