- Greetings:
- I've got a Micro VaxII running ULTRIX 4.2 and am trying to get
- tcp_wrappers up....we've got several interesting kludges on our
- system, ie finger is pointed to nlsd in /usr/local.....and etc...
- I got it running last eve however no one could telnet or ftp into
- our system but anyone could easily telnet and ftp from the mvax.
- I'd like to see examples of inetd.conf, rc.local, and hosts.allow
- and hosts.deny on those systems which have the wrapper installed
- and running.....
- mccalld@sonoma.edu
- thanks ahead of time
- ps: we've got sendmail running as a daemon /usr/lib/sendmail -db -q1h -om
- and wrapper says this is a nono but what should I setup in inetd.conf
- and crontab to allow the sendmail process to continue to work like it
- did as a daemon??
