  15. I think your first problem is that you probably mean, SCO Unix 3.2.2 :)

  26. Someone has gone in and modified the /etc/passwd, not advisable!  All
  27. changes to accounts should be made through sysadmsh.  SCO Unix 3.2.4
  28. will allow some more relaxed security and this is not so stringent, but
  29. at 3.2.2 you are only asking trouble like your having.

  31. Now for possible solutions.  Run authck -p and hopefully it should 
  32. prompt you to fix the discrepencies.  Note you must be root to run
  33. this priveleged command or have the auth subsystem authorizations
