- Well, the European (CCIR?) HDTV standard (not proposal) is set at 1250
- lines. These are gross, of course - some of the `lines' happen during
- vertical flyback - but I believe that it would have at least the
- same ratio of data lines to total lines that the old 625 line standard
- has, which would imply at least 1160 lines.
