- I have loaded the X11 from agate in the X386 directory.
-
- I cat * > X11.tar.Z
- uncompressed and untarred the files off root.
-
- I can see everything, and they appear to be in the correct place
-
- ie: /usr/bin/X11 /usr/lib/X11 .....
-
- When I startx, it complains about certain files not found, yet
- I can see that the files are there.
-
- After untarring, is there anything else to be done?
-
- I have not yet rebuilt the kernel. Could that be the problem?
-
- The readme files do not say anything that is helpfull. I should note that
- it is not a vga card problem, because I doubt that xinit is getting that far.
