- Hmmm,
-
- Let me try this one more time.
-
- I have a Mac II with a 40mz 68030 accelerator and I do NOT
- have the high density floppy upgrade(just the standard 800k
- floppy).
-
- With four meg simms installed in bank b I have 20 meg of memory
- installed.
-
- A/UX 2.01 and A/UX 3.0 see only eight meg of available memory.
-
- It has been suggested that the high density rom/floppy upgrade
- may be neccessary for A/UX to be able to see the memory above
- eight meg.
-
- ************************************************************
-
- Has anybody out there been able to use more that eight meg of
- memory in a Mac II? Was the rom upgrade necessary?
-
- ************************************************************
-
- The A/UX support group does not know the answer to the above
- questions.
-
- (The memory appears to be functional...System 7 with mode32 is
- able to see all 20 megs of memory).
-
- I would greatly appreciate an answer from someone with
- actual experience/knowledge.
