  14.                     Help - Installing X11R4

  16. I have a macintosh IIfx running A/UX 2.0. I am trying to install X11R4 
  17. on it. I do not have enough space on root, so I am trying to install
  18. it on one of the user accounts. I could install all the X11R3 files using 
  19. fistall utility.

  21. The probelem is I am not able to update the software to X11R4, because when I 
  22. use finstall to install the X11R4 updations it comes up with the following 
  23. warning.

  28. Warning: the directory /usr/bin/X11 is not present. That directory
  29. is created when the full X11R3 distribution is installed. This
  30. X11R4 floppy is intended to update an X11R3 that has already been
  31. loaded onto the hard disk. Perhaps you overlooked the X11R3
  32. installation. If so, at an upcoming prompt you may choose to
  33. discontinue loading the X11R4 update floppies. You should then
  34. install X11R3 according to the printed instructions, and finally
  35. return to these update disks.
