- Help. I have an RS/6000 model 320 running AIX 3.2, with, I hope, all
- necessary 3.2.2 PTF's applied for using it as a diskless server. I
- am trying to install my first diskless client, a RS/6000 model 220.
-
- I am following the procedures in IBM AIX Version 3.2 for RISC System/6000
- Installation Guide, Chapter 10 Diskless System Installation. I am using
- SMIT. I am using the server's /usr as the SPOT. At Step F. Add a Diskless
- Client, after filling the "Add a Diskless Client" screen and pressing
- enter, I get:
-
- /usr/sbin/mkdclient: Syntax error at line1: `mkd_11=' not expected

- I placed a call to support late Friday afternoon, September 4, but it was
- too late to get a response during working hours on Friday, meaning I won't
- hear from that avenue until Tuesday morning September 8. This is for
- a lab for a course which starts Monday, September 14, so I don't have
- a lot of time.
-
- If anyone reads this on the weekend and knows what I did wrong, I would
- appreciate a reply to dedourek@jupiter.sun.csd.unb.ca so that I can
- make some progress on the weekend. Thanks.
