- Anyone know how, under SunOS 4.1.x, to write "short tape
- marks" onto an Exabyte tape.
-
- For those of you wondering what I mean by this:
- Exabytes write long (normal) and "short"
- tape marks. Our application requires 3
- tape marks per file (to make an ANSI-style
- tape). However, long tape makes take up
- 1/4 megabyte of space! We figure at that rate
- you could fit 1000 _empty_ files onto an Exabyte.
-
- However, a short tape mark only requires 50Kbytes.
- So we would like to know how to write them.
-
- Thanks much.
