  11. Anyone know how, under SunOS 4.1.x, to write "short tape
  12. marks" onto an Exabyte tape.

  14. For those of you wondering what I mean by this:
  15. Exabytes write long (normal) and "short"
  16. tape marks.  Our application requires 3
  17. tape marks per file (to make an ANSI-style
  18. tape).  However, long tape makes take up
  19. 1/4 megabyte of space!  We figure at that rate
  20. you could fit 1000 _empty_ files onto an Exabyte.

  22. However, a short tape mark only requires 50Kbytes.
  23. So we would like to know how to write them.
