- If you increase your memory to 24mb, you will see a world of
- improvement. In addition, if you run X11R5 from mit instead of that
- bloated openwin3.0 you will get even more speed. My IPC with a color
- frame buffer running X11R5 gets 260 rpms out of xengine while my IPX
- with a GX running openwin3.0 gets 268. Hey, I know xengine is not a
- respectable benchmark, but it's something. I am presently benchmarking
- several varieties of Sun workstations with the x11perf benchmark in the
- X11R5 release. I will post the results to the net.
