  41. If you increase your memory to 24mb, you will see a world of
  42. improvement. In addition, if you run X11R5 from mit instead of that
  43. bloated openwin3.0 you will get even more speed.  My IPC with a color
  44. frame buffer running X11R5 gets 260 rpms out of xengine while my IPX
  45. with a GX running openwin3.0 gets 268.  Hey, I know xengine is not a
  46. respectable benchmark, but it's something.  I am presently benchmarking
  47. several varieties of Sun workstations with the x11perf benchmark in the
  48. X11R5 release. I will post the results to the net.
