- I noticed on my IPC that if I yank the keyboard, the console port
- defaults to ttya for both input and output. It is not necessary to
- remove the frame buffer card. This behavior may vary depending on
- model and openprom version.

- Alternatively, you can go into the eeprom (L1-A while booting up),
- go to new mode. From new mode, do a printenv to note the current
- settings. Do a setenv to change the settings as desired. You can
- setenv the input-device and output-device. Reboot the system to
- effect the changes.
