- My SPARC 1 is failing to complete the boot sequence and dropping into
- the command mode with a "Watchdog reset/Window UnderflowType" message.
- It appears that there is a hardware problem. I have a brand new system
- board(obtained in the spring). but I have been getting a message indicating
- Before the watchdog reset message began appearing, my OW sessions were
- being aborted because of a bad memory chip.
- I have had bad memory before but nothing
- like this has ever happened. I am waiting on good memory - it takes a
- while get here. In the meantime, I can't use my machine at all.
-
- Could someone please explain what watchdog reset means and what window
- underflowtype(as the specific error message) means? I have a full
- set of docs for my machine but can't find it. Also, I would appreciate
- any hints as to what to test or what the problem could be.
-
- A while back I think there were some posts on watchdog reset - if anyone
- has a summary of those, please pass them on.
-
- Please email any suggestions. Thanks.
