  11. Have you ever heard about SunOs (4.1.1) getting in trouble when managing
  12. a swap area larger than (say) 100 Mbytes?
  13.  
  14. We have the following scenario:
  15. a sparcstation-2 with a ~600 MBytes Hard disk and  a swap area
  16. of 120 Mbytes.

  18. Regardless if the swap area is only the sd0b partition or if it is split
  19. between two partitions or even a partition and a swap file SunDiag
  20. finds lots of errors  when running the test on virtual memory.
  21. On the contrary SunDiag doesn't report any error if we configure
  22. the disk with the standard 32Mb swap partition.

  24. Our Sun assistance tested the disk for a long time and it is OK.
  25. They also said that virtual memory test doesn't fail if the secondary
  26. swap partition  (additional partition) is in a different disk.
  27. What does it mean?
