  12. I'm running SunOS 4.1.1 and OpenWindows 3.0 on a Sparc 1+.  When
  13. I issue "mount -t tfs /usr/openwin/include /usr/include", I get:

  15.     mount_tfs: Internal error: Cannot connect to tfsd on \
  16.     sigurd.monsanto.com: RPC: Program not registered
  17.     mount: giving up on:
  18.        /usr/openwin

  20. "grep -i tfs /etc/rpc" gives:

  24. From man pages tfsd(8) and inetd.conf(5), it looks like I also need 
  25. entries in /etc/inetd.conf and /etc/services, but these files don't 
  26. contain any TFS entries, live or commented.  I can't determine from 
  27. the man pages or doc set what these entries should look like.  (My 4.1 
  28. and 4.1.1 Release manuals say to "see the System and Network 
  29. Administration manual for a complete description of TFS...", but the
  30. 4.1 SNA manual knows nothing about TFS.)

  32. Also, the GENERIC config file contains an "options TFS" line, so it 
  33. looks like I may need to build a new kernel.

  35. Can someone who's running TFS tell tell me how they did it?
  36. Also welcome are RTFM suggestions (with references!), comments on TFS 
  37. reliability for different SunOS versions, and pros and cons on using 
  38. TFS for /usr/openwin/include.
