  13. I have noticed lately that some program/process leaves an <exiting> process
  14. on my Sun (a Sun 3/60), and from that point on, the printer daemon (lpd)
  15. freezes.  The worst thing is that I CANNOT GET RID OF THE <EXITING> PROCESS.
  16. I have to reboot the Sun, and then the printer works O.K..  The main reason
  17. I hate to do this is because the Sun is acting as a file server for about
  18. 10 IBM's and a publishing system, and none of the computers can print once
  19. the printer daemon freezes.  I have to shut down all of the IBM's, and it
  20. is a HUGE pain.  Does anyone:

  22. (a) know what the <exiting> process is?
  23. (b) know how to get rid of it?
