- I have noticed lately that some program/process leaves an <exiting> process
- on my Sun (a Sun 3/60), and from that point on, the printer daemon (lpd)
- freezes. The worst thing is that I CANNOT GET RID OF THE <EXITING> PROCESS.
- I have to reboot the Sun, and then the printer works O.K.. The main reason
- I hate to do this is because the Sun is acting as a file server for about
- 10 IBM's and a publishing system, and none of the computers can print once
- the printer daemon freezes. I have to shut down all of the IBM's, and it
- is a HUGE pain. Does anyone:
-
- (a) know what the <exiting> process is?
- (b) know how to get rid of it?
-
- Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
