  19. I put some work into the 1.10 version of the GNU finger deamon, including
  20. support for the IRIX xutmp hack.  It worked well until I updated to 4.0.5
  21. where now the /etc/[x]utmp files are not updated correctly on logout.  At
  22. first I thought it was xwsh, and so reinstalled xwsh from 4.0.2, but that
  23. does not seem to be the case.  I don't know what/who is at fault.

  25. Anyway, I'd be happy to make available what I've done if folks are
  26. interested, but it's not up to date with 1.35 - and I'm less inclined to
  27. spend the time as long as the /etc/[x]utmp files are screwed.

  29. I've also installed the {file,text,shell}utils without too much trouble.
  30. The major problems are with fileblocks.c and system.h. gcc-2.2.2 and
  31. libg++-2.1 seemed to go well enough...  Have you got specific questions in
  32. mind?
