  13. Irving's advice is good.  If you must combine services,  
  14. make sure the server has lots of memory, and discourage  
  15. users of that machine from using Mathematica.

  19. We have a 32 Mb 25 Mhz slab that acts as Homedirectory  
  20. server, mail server, primary netinfo server, ypserver, xntp  
  21. server, and print server for 11 other machines.  It's  
  22. noticably sluggish when a big print job hits, but otherwise  
  23. is fine.

  25. Note being a bootserver really runs the hard disk ragged.
